Hi, thanks for your response. The original title for the article was "Lessons in Couple Privilege" (as per the URL). When Medium curated it into Human Parts they changed the title and I regret that it has come across as more prescriptive than I originally intended. I certainly don't think I'm in a position to say how people should navigate couple privilege in their own relationships, this was more an investigation of what it has been like for me.

I just realised I can still edit it after it's been curated, so I've made some changes to hopefully clarify my position.
